Our founding family entered Lahore’s knitwear manufacturing sector in the 1980s. Our chairman, Riasat Ali, spent over two decades on the production floor of the city’s established garment operations, developing a ground-level understanding of how knitwear is made, where production breaks down, and what international buyers from the US market genuinely expect from a Pakistani supplier.
That knowledge became the foundation of PrimeKnits. His son, alongside a team of young industry professionals, launched the company in 2020 with one clear purpose: to give international fashion brands a buying house that operates with the transparency and accountability that the previous generation of sourcing agents never prioritised.
2020 — The next chapter
We are the generation that grew up watching
this industry from the inside.
W e watched the previous generation navigate this industry with tools that should have been retired years ago. Verbal quality agreements with no follow-through. Relationship-dependent workflows with no documentation. A general assumption that foreign buyers would absorb the friction because the price was right.
That assumption no longer holds. We built PrimeKnits around the opposite model. Every agreement is written. Every inspection is documented. Every client knows exactly what we earn and what our process looks like before a single order is placed. The relationships we inherited are the starting point. The structure we built around them is what makes those relationships valuable.

OEKO-TEX
Standard 100
Ensures fabrics and finished garments are free from harmful substances. A baseline requirement for most EU and US buyers, particularly in knitwear and skin-contact categories.
002 / Social compliance
amfori BSCI
Covers labor rights, fair wages, working conditions, and health and safety. Required by the majority of European fashion retailers and verifiable directly on the amfori platform.
003 / Ethical trade
SEDEX
and SMETA
Ethical trade audit standard widely required by UK retailers. Factories in our network hold current SMETA reports accessible on the SEDEX platform.
004 / Responsible production
WRAP
Certification
Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production. Independent, ethical, lawful and humane manufacturing certification. Widely required by US retailers and brand partners.
005 / Quality management
ISO 9001
:2015
Quality management certification confirming that a facility operates consistent, documented production processes. We prioritise ISO 9001 certified factories for clients where process reliability is critical.
006 / Environmental
ISO 14001
Environmental management certification relevant for brands with sustainability commitments or ESG reporting requirements in their supply chain.

Holding a certificate is a starting point, not a guarantee. We verify certification status directly with issuing bodies and conduct our own facility assessments independently of any audit document.
